Q2: How do I find the best quality wall stickers? What makes them better? ▶

All our products are removable – meaning they will come off your wall without causing damage.
We use a light polyester fabric with a powdery, matte finish that doesn’t shrink or change.
The glue on our products is more like gum that doesn’t change or harden over time.
Our removable wallpaper is made of the same removable fabric that we use for our wall stickers.
Wallpaper has a repeated design, whereas wall mural are a picture.Vs other products.

They call them “wall graphics”, “wall tattoos” or other strange concepts.
“Peelable” can mean anything, it doesn’t mean it won’t damage your walls.
Other wall stickers are usually made of vinyl; a plastic that can be matte or shiny, stretch and tear easily, and are heavy.
Because vinyls change shape and are heavy, they need stronger glues to keep them stuck on the wall. These glues can harden over time causing damage on removal.
Normal wallpaper is made of paper with glue that you apply to your wall first.

Q6: What happens if my order is lost during shipping? ▶

If your product has been lost during shipping, please notify us and we will help you investigate the issue. Lost items are actually the responsibility of the carrier, however we will support you through the situation as best as we can. We are also needed to place enquiries as the “sender”. Please be aware most carriers will not leave a parcel unattended. In most cases a calling card will be left for you to pick-up at a nearby location or provide an option for redelivery.

Q7: What if my order is damaged during delivery? ▶

Because our products are sent in tubes, they do get damaged in transit from time to time. Before you sign for or accept your parcel from a carrier, you should inspect the tube or package to make sure it is sealed. If the parcel is damaged, please take a photo of the tube or parcel before you open it. Then if the product inside is damaged, we have proof that this occurred while in transit and a replacement will be supplied. If the products inside are damaged, please take a photo and send it to us.

Q8: What types of walls do your stickers work on? ▶

For different type of walls we have 3 different types of the product we can supply you with:

1. For flat walls and slightly see through – perfect for flat plasterboard walls, or drywall (USA), painted in a light colour.

2. Complete block out for flat walls where the wall colour is dark or needs to be hidden. The print appears brighter because the white point is stronger. Ideal for glass or mirrored surfaces.

3. For textured walls (concrete, brick or render) – the wall colour is seen through ever so slightly so it is deal for white or light coloured walls.

If you have textured walls that are a dark colour, please contact us.

At checkout you will be asked about your type of walls. You can order an A4 sample of any of our wallpapers. Just select this option on the wallpaper design you like. The cost of these is redeemable on purchase of your wallpaper.

* Our stickers can be used on mirrors, windows and most hard furniture.

Q9: What are your wall stickers made of? ▶

They are a polyester blend fabric with an adhesive on the back. The product is white to start with, with a matte finish. The adhesive is clear, does not smell and won’t harden over time, so it won’t damage the wall or leave any residue on removal.

Q10: How do I apply my stickers? ▶

General Application Requirements

All our products require are that your walls are:

  • Dry
  • Internal
  • Remove any dust; the more times our products can be reapplied
  • Painted surfaces have undercoat plus 2 top coats
  • Brick and rendered walls are as clean as possible
  • Glass and mirror applications – clean surface
  • Newly painted walls need 4 weeks to outgas before application
  • Remove bluetack, hooks or fixtures that prevent a smooth finish

Applying simple decals

Plan where you will put the designs. See if the sheet includes a plan to putting it together. Peel the decals from the backing paper. Smooth the designs to the wall. To reposition them, just lift an edge and peel them off the wall. Refer to the Cleaning Instructions to care for and store your wall stickers.

Applying larger decals

Large decals need special instructions to avoid the pieces sticking to themselves. Once they are on the wall, it will be easy to move them into position.

Cut around any pieces to make it easier to manage. Place the decal face down and peel back and fold 15cm or so of the backing paper, exposing some sticky side of the sticker. Now pick up the piece and stick it to the wall and support it by holding it to the wall. Now from behind, pull the remaining backing away while holding it to the wall, until all the backing paper comes away and the sticker is fully applied. To move the piece on the wall, 2 people peel the whole piece off and manoeuvre it into place.

Q11: What is the shelf life of your products? ▶

The shelf life of our products depends on how the products are kept. As long as the products stay in their tube, sealed with the end caps, and are kept dry, we would say they could last 11 years – this is the number of years we have been using the product, and know it remains removable for.

Q12: Can your stickers be used on a Fridge? ▶

Yes our products can be adhered to a fridge. However as the surface is for interiors, it will not withstand being scrubbed with solvent cleaners like spray and wipe.

Q13: How do I remove my wall stickers? ▶

Renovating? Moving house? Or just moving rooms? Moving and storing our products from one place to somewhere else is easy with these ideas.

If you haven’t kept your tube and backing paper as we recommend, you can purchase more backing paper. Place the pieces on the backing paper and they can be rolled up inwards and stored in the tube with the ends secured in a dry place. They can stay like this for years. If you are trying to move wall stickers, baking paper does the job.

Q14: What does it cost to ship overseas? ▶

We ship overseas, all over the world! See the attached screen shot. You can see how much shipping will be by adding the item/s you want to your Cart and then hit “Estimate Shipping“. Enter your country and zip/postcode. We have 2 options for overseas parcels: Standard International and Express International. Both options have tracking so you’ll be able to see where your parcel is. Please let us know if you need any help.

Q15: Do your wall stickers stick to Wash and Wear painted walls? ▶

Our products will adhere to all paint types including acrylic or enamel, and Wash and Wear paints and those that contain Teflon. Gloss or matte finished are fine too. Wash and Wear paint and others that contain Teflon can reject some wall sticker products. However to date, we have not had this issue reported. If you have any concerns, please try a free sample on your wall. Send you name and address to us here.

Q16: How do I prepare an unpainted wall for your products? ▶

We suggested a standard wall preparation for our removable wall stickers and wallpaper. Apply an undercoat followed by 2 top coats with adequate drying time between coats. Please allow 4 weeks for the second paint coat to outgas before application.

Q17: Do I need to pay a Customs Duty fee? ▶

As per Business Standard, Customs duty refers to the tax imposed on goods when they are transported across international borders. In simple terms, it is the tax that is levied on import and export of goods. The government uses this duty to raise its revenues, safeguard domestic industries, and regulate movement of goods. The rate of Customs duty varies depending on where the goods were made and what they were made of. Customs Duty Fee may apply to parcels sent to destinations outside Australia. However every country has it’s own rules about whether our goods require an extra Duties Tax to be paid on arrival to your country. You can estimate duties charges here. Q18: How can I clean your products? ▶

Thanks for ordering with The Wall Sticker Company and we hope you love your products for years and years. Looking after them will usually require no work. However in some situations you might need to clean your products. Our products can be cleaned if they get grubby except for those printed for dark coloured walls. You should avoid getting them into contact with water or any solvent. But for our products for bumpy walls and for flat, light coloured walls, you can clean your products with water and a solvent like Spray N Wipe, but we don’t recommend micro fiber cloths.

Q19: Can I use your products on a ceiling? ▶

Yes. Removable wallpaper and wall decals look great on ceiling installation.

Q20: Are your products Child-Safe? ▶

Our removable wallpaper and wall decals are non-toxic, safe products to use in your home. They contain no nasties, are low fire rated, and come with a warranty due to our stringent controls and manufacturing standards.

  • NO lead
  • NO phthalates
  • NO Glyco-ethers
  • NO Formaldehyde

Safe Inks

Our products are printed using latex inks. These use water-based formulations to reduce the impact of printing on the environment and eliminate health issues typically found with solvent-based inks. Our latex inks deliver outstanding image quality, consistency, and durability and allow our wall decals, wallpapers and murals to remain odourless and low VOC (all inks must contain some VOC’s even water-based inks).

It is important not to confuse the polymers used in latex inks with those found in-natural materials, such as latex rubber. While some individuals experience skin irritation from contact with natural latex compounds, the synthetic polymers used in our latex Inks are non-allergenic.

The latex inks we use meet the chemical requirements of the Nordic Ecolabel (Nordic Swan) for printing companies and are UL ECOLOGO and GREENGUARD GOLD Certified. UL ECOLOGO Certification to UL 2801 demonstrates that an ink meets a range of stringent criteria related to human health and environmental considerations. GREENGUARD GOLD Certification to UL 2818 demonstrates that products are certified to GREENGUARD standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage.

Low Fire Hazard

The BCA classification group number for our product is GROUP 1 – the best rating achievable. This has determined in accordance with AS/NZS 3837:1998 – Method of Test for Heat and Smoke Release Rates for Materials and Products using an Oxygen Consumption Calorimeter.

The average specific extinction area for our product is less than 250m2/kg, in accordance with Specification C1.10 of the Building Code of Australia.

Choking Hazzard

While these products are safe and children-friendly, they are still a choking hazard if swallowed. We do not recommend putting smaller decals within the reach of small children.

Warranty

Our stringent controls and manufacturing standards give you safe products you can rely on – guaranteed. We offer a 2 year warranty on our products against fading and issues with adhesion.

Q21: Can I used your products on Tiles? ▶

Yes our products will adhere to wall tiles in a kitchen, bathroom or laundry. Choose the wall type for dark coloured walls and we will supply our wallpaper that will block out the colour beneath and hide the shadowing where the grout is. It is however, not advisable to use it as a splashback or where it may have direct contact with water.
